Environmental
We operate a hybrid working model to cut down on our car use and carbon footprint.
Many of our staff work from home for the majority of the week and we embrace the use of Microsoft Teams for our meetings.As an IT company, we embrace digital working practices, and we keep our use of paper to a minimum.
Any paper we do use is recycled.We wash up all our mugs, glasses and plates and the use of disposable cups or plates in the office is forbidden.
We promote the responsible disposal of defunct hardware to our customers and recommend the scheme
https://www.torecycle.co.uk/ (registered with the Environment Agency).All incoming packaging to Minerva is recycled.
We arrange direct shipment of goods whenever it is possible and practical to do so.
Social
We are firm believers that the physical and mental health of our employees is an absolute priority.
We provide subsidised local gym membership to promote healthy living.
We support flexible working to optimise staff work/life balance.
We organize regular sports and social events for staff to get involved in as a means of connecting and relaxing outside of work.
Our apprenticeship scheme in conjunction with Oaklands College is ongoing and is a huge success.
We currently employ 6 members of staff who have been through the scheme with us and are continuing to go from strength to strength in their Minerva careers.We perform annual appraisals across our team and all members of staff have confidential access to an employee assistance programme.

https://www.missionemployable.co.uk/ In 2024, our fund-raising activities included taking part in ‘Bring Your Dog To Work Day.’As a Hertfordshire-based business, we believe it is important to reach out and support our local community wherever possible. As such, six of our IT Support team are taking part in the Tough Mudder Challenge in 2025, to raise vital funds for One YMCA, a charity that provides shelter and care for the most vulnerable people across Hertfordshire. Governance
Minerva prohibits any form of bribery, and we have a zero tolerance towards corrupt activities of any kind.
We have a whistle-blower policy in place, protecting any employee from bringing forward “qualifying disclosures”.
Our procurement process is governed by our vendor risk management policy.
These are assessed based upon factors such as information security, financial stability, regulatory compliance, and business continuity.We provide GDPR, privacy and security training as well and we promote staff awareness regarding cybersecurity and cybercrime.
We have an Information Security Policy in place to establish guidelines and responsibilities to safeguard Minerva UK’s information assets from unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.
