Lecico Bathrooms – Migration to Office 365

The Company

Lecico is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of bathroom suites and they export to over 50 countries worldwide. They have been in business for over 50 years and they have an outstanding reputation for manufacturing competitively priced sanitary ware, which is crafted to the highest standards. They are based in Bedford with over 70 IT users among their staff.

The Challenge

Lecico wanted to migrate from their current on-premise solution to Microsoft Office 365 as they were looking to streamline IT operations and boost productivity. Their server was out of warranty and, after discussion with Minerva, they realised that moving to Office 365 was the best solution for upgrading their infrastructure and keeping costs low.

The Solution

Minerva performed a remote cut-over migration, which meant that the on-premise mailboxes were migrated to Office 365 in a single migration batch.

Our experts were able to carry out this task remotely with minimal disruption to the client. A site visit was also made to upgrade users to the latest version of Office.

The local exchange server was then decommissioned.

The Outcome

Minerva were able to migrate Lecico Bathrooms seamlessly to Office 365, meaning that all users would now be on the same version of Outlook and Office applications within Office 365. Also, as Office 365 is scalable, we are now able to add new users quickly and efficiently, while controlling costs.
