Christmas Jumper Day

On Friday 14th December, thousands of people up and down the UK pulled on Christmas jumpers in aid of a great cause - to help create a brighter future for children. By taking part in the festive fun and fundraising , staff at Minerva were helping to make the world better with a sweater.
Staff at Minerva wore their brightest, funniest, craziest Christmas jumpers to work (and to the pub later!) Staff were asked to donate £2 and a generous donation was also made by John Chadwick on behalf of Minerva.
The money raised on Friday will help save children’s lives and make sure they get the things they need to grow up healthy and happy.
Here's some examples of how the money raised could help:
A £2 donation could pay for the antibiotics to treat five children suffering from pneumonia, one of the biggest killers.
£5 could pay for educational toys to help children in the UK learn through playing.
£10 could pay for a hat and blanket for a newborn baby in Afghanistan, keeping them warm during their crucial first days.
In total we raised an amazing £358 for Save the Children. We'd like to thank all at Minerva for giving so generously.
